Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program enlisting the active participation of citizens in cooperation with the police department to reduce incidents of crime. Neighborhood Watch is simply you and your neighbors watching out for one another. That begins with getting to know each other... otherwise, how can you tell a neighbor from a stranger?
The Oaks III Neighborhood Watch program was developed in September, 2013. The committee members attended a training session on September 19th. Neighborhood Watch signs were installed on November 8th.
It's important you call 911 at the time you see suspicious activity. 911 is the number to call for assistance of a Public Safety Unit:
- • To report a crime
- • To report suspicious activity
- • To report an accident
- • To report an audible alarm
- • To report a fire
- • To contact poison control
